The earlier history of this article can be seen here. Briefly:
- Libellule Bleue machine-translated it from en:Hiroh Kikai
- I tinkered with it
- Rebollo fr did good work on it
- I forgot about it for two years
- I rediscovered it (last night) and launched it.
In the two and a half years since Libellule Bleue machine-translated it, the English article has of course changed. Briefly, in mid-2007 Kikai was virtually unknown outside Japan and perhaps Poland; but now he's at least heard of wherever handsome English-language photobooks are sold. To quote the English WP article (though making minor changes to two links):
Asakusa Portraits (2008) is a large collection edited by the International Center of Photography (New York), published in conjunction with the ICP’s exhibition of recent Japanese photography and art “Heavy Light”. Kikai’s contribution to this exhibition was well received,[1] and Asakusa Portraits won praise for its photography and also (from Paul Smith) for the vernacular fashion of those photographed.[2]

Son nom[modifier le code]
(après cette modification) Je crois que son nom a trois syllabes, comme Hiroo le quartier de Shibuya-ku. On n'écrit pas « Hirō » mais « Hiroo » pour le quartier, et alors on écrit « Hiroo » pour le nom de Kikai aussi. -- Hoary (d) 14 janvier 2010 à 05:57 (CET)
